“The Fun Run” by Ivanka, aged 5

(available to listen to in episode 119)

Open the curtains.
Open the door.
Put on your slippers.
Out we Go.

Going cycling,
and scootering is fun.
So is walking and
gardening in the sun.

Now my poem is done.
Hope you had fun.
Now, let me go out for a Run!

“I Wish It Wasn’t Winter” by Pickle, aged 7

(available to listen to in episode 119)

I wish it wasn’t Winter.
It makes me moan and wimper.
But, while I wait for Spring,
I go see what the day will bring.

“Outdoor Fun” by Susitna, aged 7

(available to listen to in episode 113)

I go to a shopping mall or a restaurant on a weekend,
sometimes with my parents, and sometimes with a friend.

I go to the beach and stand near the sea.
I feel happy with the waves touching me.

When I go cycling, I see birds flying in the sky.
I wave at them as they pass by.

I go to a circus to see a clown.
I feel amused when the jester juggles balls up and down.

I go to my grandparents’ house in a train.
Through the window, I enjoy watching the rain.

I see many animals when I go to the zoo.
Some are calm, but some are ferocious too.

I enjoy taking long walks in the night.
I see beautiful stars and the moonlight.

Nowadays I am feeling quite blue.
How long will I be stuck at home; I have no clue?

I hanker to have the old fun back without fear.
I hope that things are brighter, at least by next year!

“Lost Years Of Childhood” by Aadhyaa, aged 7

(available to listen to in episode 113)

About a year and a half back,
my friends and I were a pack.
The parks were our fortresses,
and we, its princes and princesses.

The swings were our rocking chairs.
We slid down the slides in pairs.
And how can I forget the monkey bar,
which always was our pretend car.

We built sand castles all day long.
Dancing to tunes and singing a song.
We were always there for each other,
just like the birds of same feather.

Now that we are all home bound,
fun with friends is nowhere to be found.
Oh, dear almighty, Lord Ganesha, Jesus or Buddha, you may be called,
please heal Mother Earth and put her on track,
Let us have the small joys of our childhood back!

“Outside Is Where I Love To Be” by Meera, aged 7

(available to listen to in episode 121)

Outside in my garden is the place I’d rather be.
Eating barbeque chicken wings and drinking cold ice-tea.
MMMMMMMM.

Outside in the park is the place I’d rather be.
Swinging up high to the sky and enjoying the gentle breeze.
WOOOOSH!

Outside in the woods is the place I’d rather be.
Enjoying being with nature and climbing tall trees.
Rustle, rustle, rustle, snap!

Outside on the farm is the place I’d rather be.
Jumping in muddy puddles and feeding the animals their favourite tea.
Crunch, munch, crunch, munch.

Outside on the beach is the place I’d rather be.
Hearing seagulls squawk above, whilst licking my melting ice-cream.
Drip, drip, drip, drop.

Outside is where my heart is.
Yep! That’s the place I love to be.
Yes! The place I love to be.

“Outdoor Fun” by Amaya, aged 6

(available to listen to in episode 119)

Inside there is lots of noises, like pots and pans in the kitchen and squeaky toys.
But outside I can feel the green grass tickle my toes, and see the squirrels peek in the holes of trees.
I can smell roses tulips and petunias as they bloom.
I run and jump on the hard sidewalk floor.
I love the great outdoors, but after a long day of playing outside,
I still love to go inside and bake cookies, play a card game, or watch a movie.

“A Beautiful Place To Be” by Phoebe, aged 7

(available to listen to in episode 117)

A beautiful place to be.
A beautiful place for birds
and me,
and families and flowers
for us to see.
To smell. To be,
Flowers are wonderful,
and so are we!

“Camping Fun” by Kuhu, aged 6

(available to listen to in episode 115)

Camping, camping,
just so fun.

All around nature.
Birds chirping, dark woods,
kind of scary, fun at the same time.

Giraffes, monkeys,
roar, roars of the beasts
everywhere around.

Nature, nature,
the Rules of nature.
We still have to be nice,
to the animals.

Camping, camping,
just so fun.
Roasting marsh-mellows,
eating, singing, dancing.

Camping, camping,
just so fun.
Sleeping in the last tent
outside in nature.

Camping, camping,
just so fun.
Can it get any better?

Be around animals, flowers & birds.
Monkeys, giraffes and dark beasts.
Roar! Roar you here ~
scared or not!

Out you go, out you go;
nothing, there.
Just a dream. Just a dream.

Camping, camping,
just so fun.
Wanna do, every day,
every time, with family.

Camping, camping,
just so fun.
Camping, camping
just so fun.

“The Tree” by Lara, aged 5

(available to listen to in episode 111)

I climb the tree.
Mummy disagrees.
She worries I may hurt my knee.
I tell her do not worry, have some green tea.

Along comes a killer bee.
Oh no! That is the end of me.

“Outdoor Love Fairies” by Harvey, aged 5

fairies outside.

“Summer Fun” by Ananya, aged 8

(available to listen to in episode 119)

In Summer,
I’m in the season of fun.
Fun and games,
but watch out for the sun!
I lay my feet in the hot sand,
crumbling like a sweet
melting in my mouth and hand.
I swim in the cool
seven feet pool!?
Or play with the water toys
with all of the boys.
Aaah!
A rinse from the hose.
I hope the water
didn’t go through my nose!
Last but not least,
water balloon fight!
I’ll splash everyone in sight!
Time for lunch!
Mmm....pizza and lemonade!
Lemony and yummy.
It’s the perfect aid.
Oh!
Ice cream time!
Oh no!
I just can’t find a rhyme!
Play time again!
We skip and hop.
We sit down and play with chalk.
We draw the events
that happened today.
I wish Summer
was here to stay.
As I go to bed,
I am happy to say
I got high hopes
about Saturday!

“Let’s Play A Game” by Eleanor & Sammy, aged 8

(available to listen to in episode 117)

It’s a sunny day in Ohio.
Let’s play a game.
I’d love to play tag.
It's oh so fun,
but now it’s done.

I would like to make a joke.
This is how it goes:
What’s really fast,
really loud,
and tastes good with salsa?

A rocket chip!

Next we play tag.
And we sing a song.
Then we play another game -
one that’s from far away.
And even after that,
we play hide-and-go seek.
Oh boy, I love hiding and seeking!
I also like sports,
like basketball,
which now we play.
Yay and super hooray!
Who will win:
my team or
your team?!
I am Team Blue.
You are Team Green!...
Are you ready?
I really am!
After we play,
It takes us all day.
Team Blue and Team Green are tied.
But all of us have to go home,
so I guess it’s a tie.
Bye!

“The Big Splash!” by Hannah & Eldad, aged 8

(available to listen to in episode 111)

The stroke of my hand
ripples the water,
pushing it out
towards the huge water slide
staring back at me.
Splash!
Cool, smooth water
covers me like
a silk blanket.
Once free from this
watery mess,
I see a figure
that wasn’t there before.
My jaw falls
to the bottom of the pool floor
as my heart races like
a cheetah.
Could it be
a friend at last?

Splash!
And she vanished
as if an invisibility cloak
tied around her.
Disappointed,
I turn away
and there she was,
arching her arms,
fluttering her feet,
graceful as a swan.
“Would you like to swim
with me?” she asked.
Gratefully,
I answered,
“Yes,
Thank you.”
Finally,
a friend.

“The World’s Word” by Arlo, aged 8

(available to listen to in episode 117)

Where the poppies grow,
and the yuccas bloom,
and the lupines live,
I go.
The orange grove I walk through.
The oranges fall.
The time keeps going.
Don’t wait.
We need to help
our Earth is calling.

I start. You start.
We all do our part.

Where the water falls,
I stand,
and watch as the raindrops fall.
Autumn will come.
The pumpkins grow.
The leaves fall.
I’ve seen it all.
The cactus fruit.
Get ready for winter when the number goes down.

Keep planting.
Keep helping.
Keep believing.
Keep working.
Be you.
We need to help.
Don’t wait.
We need to help.
So keep doing your part!

“April, May, June, July” by Anna, aged 8

(available to listen to in episode 117)

Pretty hot, I cannot lie.
April showers come and go.
They bring May flowers, don't you know?
In April, you can play in the rain.
You can have fun
in the outdoor swimming lane.
May has lots of flowers and bees.
Oh! So many allergies!
June has lots of thunder and lightning.
It’s just so frightening!
July lights up our eyes
with fireworks in the sky!
In June, you can play in your first minutes of Summer.
You can play with sidewalk chalk,
walk,
talk,
And enjoy the weather.
In July, you can see the sky light up with colors of Independence.
Your minutes of Summer are loveliness.
You play on the beach, and
your end of Summer is just
stupendous!
Now you know about the fun things of Spring and Summer.
Now, you won’t say, “Spring and Summer?! What a bummer!”
Instead you’ll say,
“Spring and Summer?!
Oh! This is NOT a bummer!”

“My Adventure” by Sofia, aged 8

(available to listen to in episode 115)

My mom told me to go with my friend and adventure in the backyard,
but this is where I went instead:
the woods of trees, with lots of bees;
blueberry bushes that softly cushions;
my neighbor's house that had a pet mouse;
I even went to the dragon's cave to shave.
Those silly things my mom could not believe.
She said I was making up stuff.
When I showed her honey, blueberries, the neighbor's pet mouse, and shave cream
that smelled like dragon breath,
she fell to the floor like a nerd.
I laughed out loud, and my friend started to shout, "Wake up, wake up!"

“Blackpool” by Mckinleigh, aged 9

(available to listen to in episode 119)

A family arrived this morning,
dressed all in blue and white.
They placed all the sounds in a bucket,
and quickly skipped out of sight.

The whirring of the rides.
The crashing of the waves.
The whining of the dogs.
The echoing of the caves.

The squawking of the seagulls.
The munching of the cakes.
When you pat the bucket,
the banging noise it makes.

The clopping of the horseshoes.
The fizzing of the lights.
The ticking of the trains.
The whooshing of the kites.

A family arrived this morning.
Took all of Blackpool's fame.
Placed all of the sounds in a bucket.
Blackpool will never be the same.

“Autumn” by Aadrita, aged 9

(available to listen to in episode 113)

Today, it is Summer.
Tomorrow will be Fall.
I see purple asters.
I hear the Autumn call.
I feel the warm sun shining
as the balmy south wind blows.
I see more flowers blooming,
and I see the grass still grows
The goldenrod is waving.
The bees are in the clover.
I hear a distant honking.
The geese are flying over.
The maple leaves are golden.
The pumpkins, round and yellow.
Apple cheeks are rosy.
The pears are getting mellow.
The nuts are growing rounder.
The cornstalks
brown and sear.
By twenty lovely tokens,
I know that Fall is near.
Today, it is Summer
Tomorrow will be Fall.
Today, I am barefoot.
Oh, how I love it all!

“When You Blow A Bubble” by Purab, aged 9

(available to listen to in episode 121)

When you blow a bubble, it glistens in the vibrant sun.
When you blow a bubble, It’s a recipe for fun.
When you blow a bubble, enormous spheres rise high.
When you blow a bubble, they spin in the sky.
When you blow a bubble, they pop soundlessly, right above your head.
They cause the sticky fingers that make your parents red.
When you blow a bubble, you’re filled with happiness.
When you blow a bubble, you do it at your best.

“Outdoor Fun” by Ira, aged 9

(available to listen to in episode 119)

It was December, and tring tring buzzed the phone.
"Hello", I answered in a shivering tone.
It was my best friend Amanda.
She had moved to hot and sunny Florida.
I could hear the birds chirping in the background.
I felt jealous listening to the beautiful sound.
"Ohh", she said, we are having so much fun.
Everyday we are bathing in the hot sun.
Me and my friends are planting trees and picking flowers,
It is such good weather that we are playing for hours.
Since it is so hot, we're going to the pool,
As we're on the beach, we're collecting rocks really cool.
We can hear the groups of the buzzing bees.
Sometimes I like to read under the shady trees.
The weather is so good, we can play outdoor games.
We're exercising to achieve our physical aims.
We fly kites in the cool air.
Yesterday, we went to an awesome fair.
Me and friends ride our bicycles.
We love slurping cool popsicles.
I groaned with my mind full of jealousy.
When you look out the window here, it is all white and wintry.
Amanda said, "I wish you were here".
But don't worry, plan a trip next year.

“Nature” by Angela, aged 9

(available to listen to in episode 113)

Newts napping in the noon sun.
Ants on the march to their anthill.
Toads and turtles tired on the log of a tree.
Underneath the blue sky, urials climb up mountains.
Renewing rain falls down with a relaxing drip, drop, drip.
Ecosystems all over Earth are worth preserving.

“Five Senses” by Grace, aged 9

(available to listen to in episode 111)

Summer.
Summer is free.
It tastes like cold lemonade on a hot day.
It sounds like your friend’s voices echoing in a pool.
It smells like the salty beach air on a hot day.
It looks like a sunset on a boat with your family.
It makes me feel like it’s just the beginning with much more to do.

“In The Secret Garden” by Aarohi, aged 9

(available to listen to in episode 121)

What a heavenly place to be …
All the rainbow colors I see.
Thou, too heedless, art the Warden,
in the Secret Garden

All the bees buzzing for their queen.
The prettiest thing you’ve seen.
You can leave all your burden
in the Secret Garden.

While the sunsets the birds fly.
While cool sweet blows by.
While the sparrows sing like a hand organ,
in the Secret Garden.

“Stone Age” by Freya, aged 9

(available to listen to in episode 121)

If you are feeling really brave
take a look inside this cave!
For there are people not like you or me…

They lives in the Stone Age.
I call it the “no phone age”!
Their arms and necks were thicker.
They hunted mammoths for their dinner.

Hunter gatherers moving far and wide.
Searching for food and somewhere to hide.

They used stone to make weapons and tools,
and to make fire to cook their food.

Domesticated animals were a life changer.
Their dogs alerted them of danger.

There are many paintings in this cave.
Ogg’s drawings were often grave.

Discovering these amazing pictures inside
reminds us all about their lives.

Pleasant scent buoyant the air.
Lilac limbs tousle my hair.
Lightly chirping turtle dove.
Oh, this tender lilac love.

“Indoors To Outdoors” by Alexis, aged 10

(available to listen to in episode 113)

All year long,
we’ve been staying at home.
So, if you really ask me where I belong,
I will say that it is the outdoors where I can roam.

I live in Arizona.
So the summer days can reach 110 degrees.
And because of the corona,
all that I want to do is go to the seas.

So what am I waiting for?
It’s time to put on some sunscreen!
Let’s go to the water’s shore,
and look at the beautiful blue scene.

Dolphins will come in packs,
and I will be building sand sculptures.
My feet prints will leave the tracks
to the memories I have made being a part of two cultures.

Mexico’s purple, yellow, and pink sky
shows the beauty that God has created in this world we live in.
While I get a towel to dry,
there’s the soft sand left on my skin.

The seashells that can make such pretty jewelry
is what I take.
Nothing is putting me in a hurry,
because it is the time of my break.

A time that my family and I have all been waiting for,
may soon arrive again.
It is time to get more in the outdoors,
and go to the beach now while I live this year of being ten.

“Swimming” by Yue Ting, aged 10

(available to listen to in episode 115)

During the summer,
I love to swim in a pool,
where the water is oh so cool.
The water glistens in the sun,
while I splash my friends with glee,
and have a tremendous amount of fun.
Diving down for objects I hunt,
along with my friends and family,
and sometimes even my aunt.
In this pool which is lovely to play,
all day,
I want to stay.
So come on now.
Do be on your way.
Come and join me in the pool,
on a nice summer day.

“Reading Under A Tree” by Alice, aged 10

(available to listen to in episode 111)

Resting your spine against the bark of a tree,
with the leaves and the feel of being free,
and your imagination springing and your head in your book.
The delicate bugs hiding in a cranny or nook,
with the blessed tree sheltering you overhead,
with the soft comforting earth forming a bed,

Words transporting from your book to your brain,
your tree sheltering you and your book through the rain.
The book irresistible and each word compelling,
each bark chippings smooth and your book is bestselling.
The environment relaxing and the tree providing calm.
The book corner flicking under your palm.

Nature surrounding you and green leaves above.
Serene feelings enclose you and the tree possesses love.
Exciting emotions surround you on account of your novel.
The sunshine beaming down with you not having to grovel.
As you concentrate contently on your fiction volume,
while you tree creates your feelings to bloom.

“The Nature Listens To Me” by Jonah, aged 10

(available to listen to in episode 121)

When I dance,
the winds prance.

When I sing,
the blue jays create a beautiful ring.

When I close my eyes and try to be happy,
the large broad trees become sappy.

Critters will bow down to me,
even a rebelling bee.

Mother Nature would love and adore.
More than the children she bore.

I am the lion of the field.
No need for a sturdy shield.

“Cricket” by Riyansh, aged 11

(available to listen to in episode 119)

Playing cricket brings me so much joy.
Anyone can play, girl or boy.
Playing outside, I find really very fun,
and I wish the games would never get done.

On the field, energy runs around my body,
as I begin to do my favourite hobby.
Whether it’s with my friends, or in a real match,
I do my best when, batting, bowling or taking a catch.

Watching a game from beyond the boundary line
is super cool, as the batsman plays a shot that’s fine.
But playing a match is much more exciting,
as I can see everything, loads of happiness it does bring.

Batting puts me in a really great mood.
Standing in the middle makes me feel good.
Hitting shots for boundaries all around the ground.
is super pleasant. It is a passion found.

Fielding really gets me on my feet and running around,
as I try to stop the ball from going to the boundaries abound.
Taking catches always makes me important and proud,
and another thing to do is being encouraging and loud.

Bowling is my favourite thing in cricket to do.
Pace is really brilliant but spin is too.
Running to bowl a ball is very exciting,
and getting a wicket is always an amazing thing.

Playing cricket brings me so much joy.
To me, it is like a baby’s favourite toy.
I really love cricket, as you can tell,
and you should have a try as well.

“Little Outdoor Things” by Prisha, aged 12

(available to listen to in episode 115)

I used to live in the local park.
I would get pooped on by many larks.
They would laugh, and shout and sing.
These are some little outdoor things.

I used to sleep on the slide.
All the cats would laugh and cry.
And even at home, their yowl's ring.
These are some little outdoor things.

I used to eat the bushes leaves.
And I accidentally scraped my knee.
And, oh how hard I clinged!
These are some little outdoor things.

I used to p-
Alright, that's too much information!
I need to make a declaration.
I am moving back with my mom and dad.
To be honest, now the park seems really bad!

“Outside” by Abby, aged 12

(available to listen to in episode 113)

Wake up at seven
The sleep that was given
is gone.
I look outside
and I decide
Morning has begun

I twirl and sing.
I am running.
I feel free.
I hop onto my bike.
I go on a hike.
I get a burst of energy.

I jog through the trees,
the birds my referees,
and I breathe.
My heart does a leap,
and the animals creep.
It’s a beautiful day, I quethe

Now the day is done.
But, I’ve had my fun
outside.
I bet I’ll get a chance
to sing and prance
outside

Soon I will see the outdoors again,
as dreams flow through my brain
of outside.
I will soon see animals.
Forget any festivals.
I’d much rather be outside.

“Wonder Of Seasons” by Priyanka, aged 12

(available to listen to in episode 121)

While I lie down on the mellow grass,
after playing near the sea,
I find myself lost in some path!
How cooler can the breeze be?
How farther can the sky pass?
When the sunshine glares upon me,
my face beams as a glowing brass!

While I jump on the fresh puddle,
after the pitter-patter of the pouring rain,
I find myself trapped in a muddle!
How clearer can the water remain?
How warmer can be my mother’s cuddle?
When the dancing leaves twirl again,
my nose senses the scent of a musky-sweet rustle.

While I am on the crystal snow,
after my brother makes the snowman’s smile,
I find myself deep and below!
How harsher can the frost on the trees pile?
How slower can the day go?
When the pure white flakes woozily rile,
my eyes feel thoughtful and low.

“My Secret Garden” by Shubhangi, aged 12

(available to listen to in episode 117)

Oh, take me to my secret garden.
The place of paradise and peace.
Where I spend warm summer days
beside the pond full of ducks and geese.

The cool wind blows in my face.
The treetops give me shelter.
Insects crawl all around
as I behold the phenomenal wonders.

My secret garden has a gate,
concealed cleverly by the overgrown ivy,
against which I lean my back to rest
scribbling down thoughts inside my diary.

As I walk past the unique plants,
leaves rustle in my presence.
I wander as free as a cloud
and stop to smell the lovely essence.

In my magical garden, beautiful flowers grow,
whose colorful petals spread fragrance across the valley.
Who always shows off their true beauty.
Creeping along the garden alley.

My secret garden is a wonderful place.
Darkness shall never show its face there.
During nightfall the moon shines brightly,
illuminating the area with its nightly stare.

Oh how I love my secret garden!
The place of paradise and peace.
Where I stand under the blue sky,
quietly observing my masterpiece.

“Outdoor Graduation Ceremony” by Amogh, aged 11

(available to listen to in episode 113)

It is at one end, the happiness of advancing,
and at the other end, the sadness of leaving School.

It is at one end, new chances and new friends,
and at the other end, missing my old friends.

It is at one end, I will be stepping into middle school,
and at the other end, I will be stepping out of old school with lots of memories.

It is at one end, I will be learning new rules and things from my new teachers,
and on the other end, I will miss my old teachers who were teaching, planning, and organizing during this pandemic.

It is at one end, I will be walking on the grass of Middle school,
and on the other end, I will have memories of walking on the grass of Old school.
I remember my parents trying to stop me from walking on the grass,
and I would reply to them “In Cambridge University,
scholars are allowed to walk on the grass.”

It is at one end, me working and trying hard to plant my footprints at Middle school,
and on the other end, I will look back at the footprints I left behind at Old school.

It is at one end, me saying good morning to my new teachers enthusiastically,
and on the other end, from a deep sorrow,
I will be saying goodbye to my best teachers, principal,
school, and friends who are moving.

It is at one end, I have to stay strong and show the maturity of accepting new challenges,
and at the other end, I will be sad deep down missing
all my sixth-grade teachers who all encouraged me each and every time.

“A Day Of Fun” by Victoria, aged 11

(available to listen to in episode 121)

As the tweety birds sing,
and the butterflies wing,
the sun shines so brightly
while the children play on the swings.

The pool glistens under the tree,
as the toddlers jump in glee
from the merry-go-round
that spins times a three.

SPLASH! Goes the poo.,
The parents say cool,
as they lay on heated benches,
sipping cold beverages.

RING! RING! The ice cream truck rings.
The children all dash.
Parents scurrying for cash.

With ice cream cones full,
the children lick away,
to soon have discovered,
their ice cream fades away.

A long day falls back.
The clouds pass by.
The sun takes a rest.
The moon enlightens the sky.

The toddlers are resting.
The children asleep.
A fun day takes an end,
and a new one awaits.

“Fire In The Sky” by Jackson, aged 12

(available to listen to in episode 121)

A blaze that’s flying in the air,
so powerful and bright.
A gorgeously blinding flare,
bringing sunshine to the night,

curling up with embers of light,
for a moment I believe,
even the stars will ignite.

But, still I do hypnotically stare.
I’m filled with joy,
and I try not to scare.
I’m in love with this moment,
so mythological and rare.

Super nova’s bursting,
with power and light.
I can’t help but immersing myself
with happiness and love so bright.
Spreading joy throughout the night.

The stars grow jealous
for your obscuring their light.
But still they must gawk,
at your energy filled might.

My heart swells with joy,
just at the thought.
Anticipation grows upon the spot.

My soul does dance.
So exciting and bright.
At just the chance
of seeing your light.

You fill the world with shining delight.
Fire in the sky.

“Spectacular Summer” by Tanish, aged 13

(available to listen to in episode 119)

The musty sun seeped inside,
its radiant rays swaying like the tide.
Bright, lovely weather beckons
me as I'm out within seconds.

So long stuck at home, alone.
My only company being the phone.
Yet the virus can't hold us in anymore.
Summer's eminence and enjoyment, galore.

Cricket matches all around.
Playing with friends, safe and sound,
I go out to bat with a spring in my step.
Hitting the ball, many a rep.

Walks to explore the great outdoors.
From lakeside trips to beaches and more.
The freshness and surprises, gifts of nature.
Pleasing and calming, helping my stature.

Barbecues with friends and the fam'.
Meeting, experiences from lockdown we cram.
While having a laugh, no bore or task.
Chilling out as in the warmth we bask.

This wonderful season, so much on offer.
For high risers, can't get any softer.
One can only savour its essence.
Else they'll be left sad, in Winter's presence.

Let's find joy in these times of terror.
Our era shouldn't target the error.
Of the virus; we can embrace the beauty
and charm, while respecting our worldly duty.

“Along With Mom” by Sanaskriti, aged 13

(available to listen to in episode 115)

Sunset time, was on for a ride.
The silence was captured on the roadside.
Her moving steps got frozen at a sight.
Those eyes were shining in daylight.
Smooth air was playing with her hair.
The view from the bridge made her cheered.

That slight smile captured my heart.
Time was the thing, falling apart.
Rarely I have seen such a cheerful soul.
Living that moment was her only goal.
Holding her hands comforted me for a while.
“Mom let’s go”, I told her with a smile.

“Outdoor Fun” by Shreya, aged 15

(available to listen to in episode 117)

It's extremely lovely,
to see the shiny yellow dwarf star,
with hands above eyes.
It's truly pleasant,
to see the birds,
some moving all around the sky,
a few having lunch,
and others constructing their house.
It's enjoyable to see
the leafy green,
with limbs around,
that had been seen.
My giggling smile is now shivering,
seeing the "selfless helper" dog,
just sadly have to say,
no one had adopted it.
The magic remains limitlessly,
even in night,
the "sparkling duo",
provides you blissful feeling.
Even the crying soul
would end up regretting,
for wasting time on fake faces.
Instead, she could enjoy
seeing the creation of nature.
The real "Outdoor Fun"!!

“My Joyful Journey” by Aditeya, aged 14

(available to listen to in episode 111)

Lots of fun with Papa, mumma and sister in the car.
Laughing, playing and eating my favourite chocolate bar.
Cracking jokes and singing merrily.
Everyone enjoying very happily.
Sharing experiences and sightseeing,
appreciating beauties of nature and human beings.
Giggling, chattering, humming and peeping,
Then a little time for sleeping.
Relishing tasty and yummy food,
brings everybody in a joyful mood.
No phones, No screens.
Exploring bonding together means
reciting poems and rhymes on the way,
and shouting loudly ....Hurray!
Finally, reaching our destination.
Enjoying everything with lots of fascination.
This will be a cherished memory forever,
waiting to go on more adventures together......
